oh i know the feeling. i had a 95 s10 extended cab with 2 audiobahn 12's in it and 2 volfanhagn amps putting 2000 watts 2 each and a guy with a 12l7 straight up blew me out of the water. so ever since then i was wondering but i forgot bout them cause i didn't need anything that big after i...
i already got a poineer 12 and a sony 600 watt 4 channel amp. i'm going to use 2 channels for the rear speakers and the other 2 bridged for the sub. i don't want anything fancy or nothing like that right now i just want a lil something something. i was just wondering bout the 15l7 for the...
i'm thinking of fitting a 12 between the rear seats but still being able to put the targa in the rear has anybody seen or done it done before. i mean i have to use a thin sub but i want to use the hatch still and the back seats if i need to. i got something drawn up and in the works but i want...
i was thinking bout making a custom sub box for my mk3 targa so i want some ideas. please post some pics of your sub install so i can get ideas. also where is your amp/cap at?
thanks
you get some kinda warning that they're going out. they either start getting really distorted or start giving a burnt smell. plus if all four or 6 went out at once then its definity not the speakers. i would check the head unit. if you have any other speakers laying arounduse those to check...
i got the egr already put in but i just wanted to go full jdm with the engine. i hate the egr system anyway it just doesn't appeal to me. but i'm going to keep looking for a jdm wiring harness and ecu hopefully i can find one soon. thanks again.
if you do go navy and for what ever reason do decide to go into the nuclear program there are certian things that will be benifitual to you. for example the only pt test that you will ever need to pass is the one in boot camp. you might get a singing bonus of about 20g's which you will not see...
i know in the past all i had to do was take a knife and cut along the seam to pull them off other cars i don't bout the mk3's or not but it should be the same way. the only thing is that if you decide that you want it back you already cut it and most likely destroyed it. so make sure that what...
i was in the navy for the past 4 1/2 years and yeah for the most part it was a good experience. they will not take your kids away but you have to do a family care plan. all that means is that you have someone to take care of your kids while in basic and on deployment and in case something...
as for straight up replacement look at the local dealership. i woldn't look at a junk yard or pick-n-pull cause they're probaly as bad as yours but who knows you might get lucky. or you look at like sparco or momo sometimes they have ones that will work. i also think that autozone has some.
autozone.com or advanceautoparts.com both have them but make sure thats really what you need cause its like $60 or $70. i thought i needed one and bought it and then come to find out i needed a circuit opening relay instead. so make sure you test it and all that first. but either way good luck.
i heard from one off my friends that if you swap for a jdm engine you also have to swap to a jdm ecu? i know the jdm engines don't have the egr system and all that. but is this true. if you put on the egr system then do you still need the jdm ecu or not? any help would be great.
yeah i ment ignitor my bad. but yeah i'm getting spark but its not that strong at all. but no i didn't cut any other wires at all.
the only indication i have is a test lite it doesn't show voltage just a lite on when power is flowing through it. but as far as the tach goes when i'm trying...
aight i found the problem it was the high current wire comingout of the coil that is fine now. but i got a new problem. my tach is still sitting at zero and it won't start. any ideas?
yeah pos is the grey one in the front and neg is the black on the rear of the ignition right?
something i forgot to mention earlier is that when i playing with it. i took a wire that was grounded to the body and touched it to the negative and it sparked. i don't remember if the key was "on"...
