A few of us are meeting at the Waffle house on Walkers Chappel road at 8:45 to eat breakfast and then heading out at 9:30 to go to the meet. I just thought I"d let you know.
I found out my problem. We dropped the tank and removed the twin walbro to find a whold in the aluminum line right above the pump. We had to get another line from another gas tank. We drilled out the other one, replaced it and soldered it back in place. It now cranks perfectly. I"ve got a lot of...
I'm such a pansie...........I launch mine from about 4500rpm.............
Good luck rebuilding it or replacing it. You should be able to get a 1.8 60' rather easily with those tires. I have the nitto 555r's and I've had a 1.84 60'. I usually run about 16psi of air in mine depending on...
Keylan, are you going to caravan with us? We'll probably have to leave around 8:00 unless everyone wants to meet up at the Wafflehouse in Fultondale and have breakfast.
In the trunk you should put two quarts of oil, one gallon of water, a socket set, a flashlight with good batteries, small fire extinguisher, and some porn.
She's all put back together, but it won't run............:aigo:
There's something wrong with the fuel pumps. When we pinch one of the lines off at the tank, it'll run. Once you let go of it..........it dies. I'll have to drop the tank tomorrow and see what's wrong. Engine bay looks a little...
Time is of the essance and he doesn't have time to get a stock pp. We're going to drop his transmission tomorrow night at around 11:00 pm. We have a supra meet saturday at 9:00 so he'll have to wait to get the pp replaced. He's going to also order another upgraded clutch disc.
I just came in for a break from the rain. It's already here and that scares me. We're going to warm up a bit and then go back out. I went and got us a Jacks hamburger to get us some more energy. Hopefully we'll get our second wind here in a second as well as a dry patch between the showers...
Here is what my car looks like as of right now. I've been busy doing some cleaning up today and I finally got all of my turbo stuff I needed. Hopefully I"ll have this thing back together sometime tomorrow if the rain doesn't blow me away. Wish me luck.
What? Where'd the intake go?
I...
Pat, how dureable is powdercoating? Does it flake off easily if bumped with a wrench or is it pretty tough?
The purple looks great......only, it's purple.....:icon_bigg
Do you have the torques specs for the 2jz? I'd use them. I don't have a torque spec sheet anywhere for the 1jz, but I used the ones for the 2j and they've got to be similar.
I always try to use people that are vendors of ours here. They have to take care of you or risk getting a bad name on here for everyone to see. Check out the vendors section.
I use www.driftmotion.com and I've also bought stuff from CK anderson's place. Good luck.
^what he said. You don't have to believe me, but Poodles is way smarter, so you have to believe him. I'll help you with whatever you need on the car if it needs something. Take it home after the meet and start going over everything. You'll thank us later.
