It's a direct fit except for the center piece in the rear mid section. The pre 89 is thicker and heavier and has crappy metal clips that rust. 89+ is all plastic and very light. I've got a complete set waiting to go on my 86.5

I heard that the surfaces on some are not perfectly flat and need to be machined a little to get a good seal. Go to the classifieds and search for a suprasport elbow. I did that and found some still available...cheap. I ended buying a different elbow/dp combo for cheaper but you can...

Are you not able to do the swap yourself? Is the person doing the swap familiar with supras and the harness modifications that'll have to be done? Either way I'm jealous. I would like to see that engine in the bay of my 86.5.
