    "cheesy" drifting on ABC

It was fun to watch, but kind of... cheesy. :biglaugh: Really it was a pretty stupid contest when it came right down to it.

    The $2145.00 lesson!

Okay, it's the 23rd. What happened???!!!

    Will work for supra parts..........

I'm a technical rep for a chemical company and take care of customers making engineered wood panels. My bonus bought my Supra this year (too bad it didn't cover my bhg), and I just got my 10 year service award today.

LOUISVILLE - Happy Hour @ Joes on 5/31

Wish I could do it next week, but I'm in NC for work through Thursday night. Congrats on your soccer season!

Supra is PAINTED!!! pics inside! (56k no)

Damn that looks good! I've been thinking about tackling my own bodywork next winter and finding somebody to spray it for me to make things affordable. But $600 Canadian???? That's a lot less than I would've expected. I might not wait that long. What did you have to do to make the color...

    My 5spd swap

A good write up can be a big help in deciding if a major project is something you are able or willing to take on. I've looked everywhere, but never seen a step by step and list of parts. Is there one out there that could help Hells (and me) on this? Just don't smack me if I missed something...

sun > hot interiors... electric tint?

I like your idea a lot. Since they have it for sunroofs, I can't see why it couldn't be applied to the rest of the car. I don't fully understand LCD's, but the question I have is whether the redundant safety feature of clear w/o voltage would work? Can you just reverse them like that? I...

Westmoreland co-sponsors bill on the Ten Commandments and can't even name them

I think I'm done with the God/rights/church and state threads, but here are a few final thoughts before I go back to the reason I joined the forum (my Supra) and some entertaining threads: Lets start with DreamerT and the “anti-christ” thing. First there’s the tag, then a...

    illegal mods

Unfortunate, but true. Fact is, it all comes down to enforcement, though, and I've NEVER heard of anybody being prosecuted under federal emissions laws for running without an EGR or anything else. Lucky for us - the VET (vehicle emissions test) got the plug pulled on it a couple of years ago...

How many MPG do you get on your supra?

I've been pretty close to the EPA rating lately: 16 to 17 around town and to work, and a solid 23 on the 140 mile roundtrips on the occassional trips to the lake on the weekend. Of course, I'm still pretty much stock on a recent JDM swap, but that will change.

Westmoreland co-sponsors bill on the Ten Commandments and can't even name them

So here we go again. Sigh. "I'm the anit-christ, blah blah blah." or... "I say say there's no God, but I waste an incredible amount of energy getting upset about people who do believe, completely in spite of myself." or... "I'm not going to be quite as bold as you guys, but I'll back up...

    happy fathers day!

Thanks from a dad! I got the same wishes from an 18 year old I've helped raise since she was 10, and a 4 year old boy of my own. And all that before I'm 36. They're worth every premature grey hair I've got too, bless their insane little hearts.

Should I go though with a purchase of a house?

That sounds like quite a government program - how does a person qualify? It might be worth a quick drive down there to talk to a couple of people who've been through it already. Fayetteville, NC - I'm there every few months, and I cannot get around without a GPS - Weirdest city planning I've...

Should I go though with a purchase of a house?

Will's right. It's about location first and foremost. You can do a little of the legwork yourself to see if it's even worth digging deeper into. Get on your computer and see if property values are available online - they are in some municipalities. Look at the assessed value of similar...

    Brake issue

Uh, oh. I've been living with the same (minor) problem with no real sense of urgency to put it ahead of everything else I'm trying to do right now. I really hadn't planned on it being overly expensive, but your "yeee gods" has me wondering... so what's a master cylinder going for?

Who here has changed their HG themselves?

My first thread read just about the same. I'd done a little more than oil changes before my hg, and got a couple of friends with about the same experience to help out. 12 hours to tear apart one Saturday, two weeks of cleaning while the head was at the machine shop and another 12 hours for the...

    MMM, OMG!

Is there such as thing as a "most useless thread" award? After this one, I think it might be time an idea to add to the suggestion box. ;) BTW, grilled cheese gets my vote, and throw a couple slices of bacon and tomato in there while you're at it.

This is how tax cuts really work

Sorry, that doesn't work. You're right that making equal pay for grocers and doctors is penalizing success (i.e. inappropriate pay for training, responsibility, etc), but it is no less of a penalty to make more money and then have it taken away - same outcome, different way of getting there...
