Sometimes the phone is just the easier way to go, so I called the local Isuzu dealer. No to interference, and it's only slated as a 2.3 hour job. Unless I find anything else to worry about, I may be pulling my new DD home soon. :) That's all.
I have a lead on a great buy on a '97 Isuzu Hombre (5 speed, 118k, air) with a Vortec 2200 and broken timing chain...
I just need to know if this is an interference engine before I go for it, and since the S10's & Sonoma's shared the same power plant, I was hoping somebody would know if I...
Ask your agent for a combined car/renters policy, similar to a.homeowners/car combined policy. Years ago I used a local company who shopped among the major companies for me and it was silly cheap. :)
"Voodoo III" ebay POS MBC loses boost as RPM's climb and flat out sucks.
I've been considering AEM Truboost for price and ease of install/use. I'm glad to hear a positive here and there. :)
I went down the same road and asked a lot of the same questions with the same kind of build in mind, Hatchet... In the end it was just easier, and I felt safer, to let somebody do the build who has done 7M's before with success, built to handle at least 25% more than I intend to throw at it...
You know, I got wondering what your plans for the gun were myself, since you had it *in your lap* In the glove box or holstered (when sober) is fine as long as you do so legally, but in yopur lap suggests you thought about escalating things further? At least you stopped short of that...
Just last week this happened when somebody "went off the deep end" and evaded...

Legend of Aces are working on my "Package 2" 7MGTE build as we speak. So far the experience has been good, and it should be in my garage before too long. Maybe there will be a short build thread to cover everything going into my car after I get it. :)
No exaggeration, but I have to work for it. Very litle gas, check tire pressue every week , shift @ 2800 rpm, anticipate every stop light and coast into the reds, or better yet keep rolling until they turn green again. Somebody on 6gc.net claimed 36 and I thought bs, so I wanted to see how close...
The EPA changed the basis for the mileage rating in 08, which lowered the rating across the board. Check out www.fueleconomy.gov for details on the change. You can see what the original ratings were vs the 08 method for some years/makes/models.
BTW, I've been coasting everywhere I go and...
Yeah, he got fired from his last job and really thought they gave him the shaft.
I wondered why he always smells like BenGay... When I asked him he told me he usually wakes up a little stiff.
He doesn't mind going for his allergy shots... It's just a little prick.
I shouldn't make fun...
I like the names that don't translate so well. Example? I work with "Dong Wang". Seriously. He's on a diet, cause he was getting a little chubbie. We've come up with lots of them since he started. :D
I'm shelling out $2750 for a longblock that should be in my garage in a few weeks, plus other upgrades that are adding up quickly. I feel pretty good about MHG, clevites, all ARP, machine work, assembly, et al for the money. :)
Here's where mine is coming from...
You have to remove a small plastic guard down near the transmission slave cylinder to get to it. There are two fuel lines down there; one that is just a hose & clamp and no problem, and the other that is the 14mm / 19mm union.
Speaking for myself, I'm pulling my motor and leave banjo bolts...
I've got an upgraded (arp harware, clevites, mhg, etc) rebuilt long block coming in a few weeks from these guys for $2750:
www.legendofaces.com
I think their stock rebuilt (package 1) longblock is priced at $2,250 + $500 core charge (since yours might not be much of a core anymore :o )...
Are you referring to the fuel line that connects the hard & soft lines with a union? I won a massive battle with mine the other day (after nearly rounding off the 14mm nut) by using lots of PB Blaster in several applications, and the going to a medium vice-grip and 19mm wrench. Came right off :)
