Thanks for the info. My wife's tranny is built using the RBB clutches. I also sent them her valve body and they rebuilt it. It shifts very quick, no hesitation. She doesn't make enough power at the moment to put any strain on the tranny, but she will be soon, once I finish installing her gt35r...

Are you saying you have to have the Megasquirt to make the SS work Ian? I thought it was an independent computer and only worked for the tranny. I guess it's time to reread that page on the SS.

Did you build it with the ray bestos blue clutches from IPT? Did you have the valve body rebuilt and what torque converter did you go with?

Bump for this thread since I'm going to be looking at purchacing one of these in the spring. Do these control the automatics o.k.? Is there l a problem with these and stock ignitors? Are other people having starting issues with the AEM? Will these retard timing if knock is detected? Thanks.

Nice write up Hal and thanks for taking the time to explain it all. I'm looking at the AEM since I may be going to an automatic. I also like the idea of being able to control knock which is something I can't do with the Stinger.
