I doubt anyone rebuilds them.
They used to be ~$150 from the dealer, but looks like they are now discontinued.
The rack rebuilds don't include the damper.
A bit of research will probably find you a similar damper that was used on a different vehicle.
Post #19 here is a good starting point...
I rebuilt my original 87 R&P with a kit.
Also retained the steering dampener.
Unless its a Toyota rebuilt rack I wouldn't trust it to have much longevity.
No I don't get anything from Driftmotion.
I buy them from Nitro Gear or Just Differentials or any of the other large gear companies.
Anywhere that performs a large number of gear setups on Toyota trucks might have a set lying around.
Driftmotion probably sources them from the same place.
The...
Sandblasted the rear cover on this one.
Turned out really nice, has to be the best looking one I have made to date.
Probably going to do that on all rebuilds moving forward.
Yep.
Once this one ships the next upcoming rebuild request is getting the same treatment with the 3.58 gearing.
So that will make 3 rebuilds with the 3.58.
Lost track of how many other stock gearing rebuilds I have done.
Thinking about upgrading a 4.3, 4.1, 3.91, 3.73 & 3.58 and just swapping...
I feel like the only thing I am missing from social media MKIII groups is the FS parts.
Glad I spend zero time on those sites otherwise, epic waste of time.
If you aren't looking for epic 0-60 times you could go with a taller 3.73 ratio.
But don't expect it to help you off the line much.
You can also switch to an even taller 3.58, I have performed that upgrade for a couple people already.
I have another diff coming to me soon for that same upgrade...
How is the DB level on these 274's?
I will be ditching my Walbro 255 soon, can't stand the sound any more.
Will likely get a MKIV TT stock fuel pump unless something with the same reliability / level of quality is available.
Took a few shots today of another Custom 3.58 Differential Rebuild I just about finished today.
Received a request for another one of these with the 3.58 gearing after setting up one for SupraClaou (Greece) :D
I need to find some time to work on my own Supra!, ah well good thing I am in no...
Yup, about $70 for the ABS master cylinder w/o reservoir on rockauto.
Not a bad price.
Centric has one with reservoir for $177, no core return required.
Why not just ask the company that makes the arms what size heim joints they used?
You won't need to have the parts in hand to order the correct size boots.
There are tons of different designs out there for this.
Just measure your heim joints and pick the appropriate size.
