new update, my coolant level is fine when its heated up i have a theory about what happened. one of the thermostats didnt open upon time when the engine was heating up so the engine didnt suck in any coolant to cool down thats why it overheated and as that happened some pressure build up since...
yeah that was a typo. i meant to say i opened it when i was at home (happened like a few feet away from my house) and yeah it was from the overflow. i think i might have been just cause i had too much coolant but that doesn't explain how my temp gauge shot up and back down quickly.unless it...
ugh i have officially jinxed myself. Holy shit man this is bad haha never again will i talk smack about the car. so anyway im driving around and after makign a rouutine stop. i continue to drive normally again. on my way home i notice like something dropping onto my windsheild. I thought i was...
Heh mine has been driving for 3 weeks now and hasn't given me any more problems. In the stock for will this car be a reliable as every other car because so far it has drained me of 7000 but after i drop in a new JDM engine and MHG it with the ARp headbolts during winter and after going BPU...
get the MHG and ARP Head bolts. Rule number one man! And the 45k miles can't be certain but you can look up the wvin of the car they got it from and get it checked i believe.
i had one of those knock things. then i went to a supra meet. their eyes went from another member! to uh oh... i have rod knock now :(. So i might rebuild plus BPU or 1jz during winter. Good greif charlie brown.
I got it done at a shop. honestly after sanding it down to the bare metal, it looked good but then there were too big of holes to jbweld it. so i got it my friends shop and he did it for me for 300 bucks cdn. Then they sprayed it with a fiberglass coating so i wont have problems in the future...
ugh i just opened it up, and the pipes that carry the gas from the pumps to the tank are rusted as well and the tank has a hole. Ugh stupid things. im gonna sand it down then use the jbweld like you directed. hopefully it holds :(
Heh my gas tank is leaking. it leaks like ate 3/4 tank to 1/2 tank. Now what are my opttions here. i haven't torn it off yet but is there any way i could seal it? and no its not my gas lines cause they were replaced as well. Ugh i hope i can make it to the supra meet this friday. or else ill be...
heh as long as theyre not loose i did this. when i droppes some stupid bolts inside the bumper as well. so what i did was got 6 of my 100 pound friends to push the car in reverse then i braked hard. the things just fell right out and i was off with my life. but i keep on dropping them. like...
The part where my rear Diff. is leaking fluid. I do know i have to replace my LSD and i have been lookiong for one but is that the reason it may be leaking? Or will i have to replace the whole rear axle if its something else?
hmm i dont have any pics yet... maybe tomorrow ill getsome. The VAC sensor that is next to the ecu under the cars glove box is my main concern cause i have one braket there as well and i cant fifure out where to munt that as well :(
Okay in my car, there are some quircks but these two i cant figure out. After taking apart my dash and radio, behind them i noticed two things. 1 thing is where my dash is. IT is the VAC sensor. It was just sitting there on the little bottom piece of the glove compartment are, you know the foam...
hmm this noise is only happening in 1st and 2nd second gear. My tranny doest grind when it shifts so i dont know why it would do that. any reasn for this only happening in the low gears?
good news. My mechanic said it isnt anything major like rod knock cause it only havvens at like 2000 rpms. he says it could be anything but it isnt anythign to worry about. Ogh and im getting great mileage with my car. i went 350 KMs on half a tank with a little high rev driving. :D
