Mk4 tt are 17/9.5 and 17/8. 17/8 all around is a bit skinny. 10/9 would good or. 9/8. Depends on offset as well.

As in what? You need both sensors or manipulate the Ecu into thinking that there's 2 cam sensors. And iirc the pick ups on the cams are in different spots. Plus you need a crank sensor signal that is 12:1

The problem is the 2 cam sensors and crank sensor.

Sounds like bad afm.

I ran mine to the turbo timer harness and ground to chassis.

Just swap over the sensors and wiring and Ecu and your fine. There was like 23 head revisions over th years. And the later blocks are stronger. But other than that it will work fine.

The trans will usually make whining sounds in first and second gear.

It's waste spark. 1&6 fire at the same time. 1 on exhaust the other on compression stroke and vise versa.

I use screw drivers but they make seal pullers as well.

No mod. Don't use silicone. Get new seals and clean the tracks.

The don't have to be. Just need to be all the way in. If there flush with head that's fine as well.

Toyota seals? Are you putting it in the same spot? Like how far it's pressed in. Any worn spots on the cam where it sits.

Saw that on acls and a newer block. Never effected how it ran.

Time certs are better. I'd try cleaning up the threads with a tap first tho.
