i had an idea of sticking my car with everything stripped in a pool, mixed with baking soda for a 2:1 water - baking soda mix. then positive the chassis and negative the water. In other words, a big electrolysis machine. i wonder if cars could survive like that? But anyway, fix it with a fuel...

Chris speaks the truth. You will not notice any difference if you grind them down. The difference you will notice is the hassle of finding a machine shop to do it right, and the cost.
