holy shit!
I guess I'll give it a shot.
See the grooves on the shock body? A snap ring sits inside one of those grooves. Then the perch slides down the shock body and rests on the snap ring.
TO ADJUST: Remove spring, remove perch, change snap-ring location to desired slot.
Reassemble...
If I was doing this, I would look into using a pair of 14B's off of a 1G 5spd DSM.
Cheap and effective (pending specs and a compressor map, they should work beautifully)
If they're good enough to get a 1G into the 12's...
Still on one page here. ;)

Thanks for the apology, rumptis. It's fine. Just good to know that I haven't been mislead this whole time. lol
Thanks for solidifying my claims Doward and Jetjock.
Don't you mean Silicon Valley? ;) jk
You must be telling the truth. Some of the greatest products have the silliest names.... such as Fomblin. lol

I would check behind the cluster for loose wires. The metal bracing back there is so sharp that it would take the insulation off of a wire in short order. That would cause a drain, and also make for a confusing scenario such as this.
Yeah I know. It was in a guys sig on one of the Bimmer forums that there was a discussion about "Kidneys" in.
Hence the "semi-relative" in my original statement. lol
