You won't be dissapointed, but it's almost like a standalone, you have to get lost in the manual to appreciate all it can do.
I never could get boost consistent in all gears with my manual valve. there is no difference between 1st and 5th gears with the AVC-R. but you have to tinker to get it...
Hen, I'd have to pull the plastics to see my settigns, but I set it to 550s, and then moved the idle and mid knobs maybe three clicks each, max. It worked out fine.
I'd advise against tuning to 12.5 @ wot. It is the magical high power number, but it's a little on the lean side. I shoot for 11.8...
That's really strange, you're sure it's not in the U-joint in the intermediate shaft? Also, the shaft is a 2 piece design, and it's possible that the inner piece has developed some slop inside the outer piece. That or the gear is worn on the end of the intermediate shaft, but you should have...
You can, but it won't help.
The relief doesn't open until 40 psi, so any time you have less than 40 psi now, you will still have less than 40 psi after shimming. Shimming only helps @ high RPM.
Jonez, I heard that new pumps are all GTE. this could be misinfo, but worth looking into.
