Yea, the most I've ever heard of is 520 whp, on 7mpower (http://7mpower.com/orian_iglesias.shtml). There's quite a few on there making over 400 on a stock one.
It sounds like you're trying to figure out a way to guarantee your win. If your car wins you one challenge, but you're defeated in another, then that means that you can win the former, and you're not that good win it comes to the latter. All cars have a set of strong points and weaknesses that...
If your car is running hot, you have to take care of it some other way... like getting a thicker radiator.
