what would be a realistic estimate for full boost on a gt35r on a 1jz. i hope to make around 500whp. spool time is a concern, how high would i have to rev to hit full boost and around how much psi would this be?
ok im running into some confusion, some sources tell me i need the backhousing, others tell me i only need the actual water pump. I iknow the water pump costs about 60 bucks and the whole backhousingset is around 160.
If I buy JUST the 2jz waterpump will it bolt right on the 1jz backhousing?
you arent doing a swap unless you have a steady income and have at least 2-3 grand saved for JUST the engine and trans parts. if you dont do it yourself plan to spend around 5k more. but its not just a matter of choosing the engine.

the way I see it, Only go 1jz if you are N/a . If all you have is a bhg on a 7mgte, put that money into rebuilding/upgrades and youll be better than a stock 1jz.
As for me im doing n/a-->1jz So my cost is justified =P
I was cleaning under my seats the other day and I found a bunch of loose cable under the rear seats, some of them led up to a type of electronic box behind the right passenger seat it had a motorolla logo on it

2jz waterpump+backhousing ~ $180
pulley $50 driftmotion
fan clutch+fan <----Need to know how much it costs and if its possible to use one from a 7m ge/ 7m gte?
