I run 50/50 and have done weeks, months maybe of research and these are my opinions based upon information i have found and considered.
Methanol is a fuel but it burns in an entirely different manor then gasoline. Water is not a fuel so therefore it will pass threw an engine without any...
You need to cut both lower manifold runners almost half way or to where ever they closest fit and then weld them together. If your going to do that you may as well put in a little more work and make a custom one on that stock 7m runners.
Im completely untuned. I Just filled it in based on other peoples maps ive seen and just stayed as safe as i saw fit.
My car runs pretty well and makes decent power. A buddy just put a dyno in his shop so i should have numbers within a month or two.
Hahahaha. Sure Ian.
Its really not too cheap. Its not that complicated of a piece to make once you figure out how your going to make it.
Depending on the manifold and your setup, nothing to alot. Its more the ease of intercooler routing then anything else.
I noticed he didnt turn the key off between start cycles. Maybe the TCCS needs to see that AFM signal as bieng disconnected before it will use pre-programmed parameters to keep the engine running. Before it realizes the AFM is disconnected/inoperative it is still using it as an input device and...
TCCS cannot see the boost sensor. Its only wired into the dash wiring.
What is the problem with the car other then it doesnt run with it unplugged? What made you unplug it and see if it runs?
EBC redstuff are squeaky until they bed in fully. Mine (Cobra Front Brake Kit Stock Rears) made noise for about 500 miles. Now there quiet and they work VERY well. You have to be gentle on them for a few hundred milesso they wear even then kill them a few good times. If you bed them in properly...
I could use a carfax also, Maybe if we get a couple people together we can split the cost for 5 different people that need vins. Its 44.99 for 5 vins. Thats 9 bucks a head. Id be in for that.
1.Supraboostin
2.Nosechunks
3.
4.
5.
Who else needs one?
I dont exactly remember where i found it, I just searched timing and happened upon it. My timing table is pretty close, its almost identicle on the positive boost side.
Thanks! will do!
Yea the auto is great. It seems to be holding up good so far as far as i can tell. Weather has been...
Honestly not really sure. My ignition table is based off of a table that IJ posted. The stock TCCS timing is good for moderate boost and alot of people have good luck with it. I dont know what a stock timing map looks like but i would bet its relatively safe for reliability.
Heres my timing...
I personally wouldnt run more then 16-17 psi on pump gas because thats when the limits start to be pushed and need to have proper tuning. I would recommend water/meth at 16-17 psi or full race fuel/E85. You should be fine with up to 15psi as long as your fuel and timing arent crazy aggressive...
Thanks, Yes well worth the improvement over stock turbo. The car is a light switch at 8 psi. Thats when the party starts and it only gets better with more boost. I have nowhere to mount the camera or i would try to get an inside video.
Thanks! Its quiet on the video but pretty loud in real...
Thanks! Turbo hits hard about 3500-3800rpm with my home tune. It would proly spool a little sooner if the timing and fueling was perfect.
Going to the track this wensday. Hopefully the temps will be in the 70's and I can get an 11.99 pass!!!
Thanks!
Built short block with Ross pistons and Eagle rods. Stock head other then valve job and rebuild with stock parts. Well see how long the A340E lasts.
Went to the track. Best pass on a 95 degree day with only 6psi of boost at the line (wouldnt build any more because the air was so hot) was a 12.7 @ 109 with a 1.9 60'.
Pretty unhappy because of the weather. Most people at the track were saying there cars were .5 second slower compared to a...
Mine is mounted there now but there is really not much space. I also have to mount a SSv4 Somewhere. Right now the SSv4 is at home on my pass floor along with the speed sensor scaler.
Id rather not mount things in the glove box but need to spend some more time looking for a place to put this thing.
Well my TIG came today!!! After i finished making my new welding cart i hooked everything up and layed down a couple beads on a sheet of 1/8 aluminum.
Sorry for the crappy Iphone picture
I made a little block but the sheet kept getting too hot. At least i think so from what i have read online...
