Hey Rufus, I got those shims from David. Going to work (night run...hate'em) tonight but off this weekend. I know its fathers day weekend but if you dont have anything planned can we see if these shims will fit so i can continue with trying to get mine together.

It's like insurance. You pay a crappy premium.....you get crappy coverage. The ARP bolts are like that......very good insurance....torque to @ least 85-90lbs.

When measuring the block (i bought my block and it was decked already) is the main saddle bearing the top of the crank where the crank pulley goes. If so.... i'm to measure the top of crank to the top of the block deck with the crank pulley off...correct?!

David, thanx man for letting me use that stand for a bit. I actually figured out today that I could het some things done (#&!* heat has been talking me out of working on car) without money. So I've got off my tail and tranfered about half the block to my new block. All it cost was some sweat!!

Rufus, Here is what i'm talking about on the link provide. I know of the brace that comes off the mount but there is another brace. I've removed it before but now i don't even know where it is now. But maybe we are talking about the same thing ...oh well...
