I've had LEDs in my cluster years ago and i love them. I'd like to get the needle to look better but I'm afraid at night it doesn't get lit up being painted. You LED in needle set up is wicked but it's really hard to tell if the needle lit up well when they're painted paired with a LED cluster...
If you can get a really good condition stock replacement close to you I'd do that and save that extra cash. People don't really care for the stock replacements so I'm sure you can find them for cheap! I would go with a turbo exhaust too since it is a tad bigger just because.
Do you guys have pics of these needles after they have been painted and used in your cluster at night time? I would like to see how well they still lit up after being painted over/under. Looks great during the day though!
There was a guy in UK that was selling 5 sets of some bbk that was plug and play and I'm sure i've seen them off a s430 before.
yhatzee89 - which car is that caliper from?
Removed the rad, fan, belts, front fenders and liners, crash bar and front mount. Need to drop the driveshaft, fuel lines, engine mounts and random lines/ hoses and the heart should be out this coming week.
If you're planning to keep the 16s then there isn't much out there other than the previa 2 pots calipers and better rotors ( if this is considered a worth while upgrade). I'm not sure but the nightpager kit MIGHT work if you use the 300zx rotors and not the 350z track rotors...which isn't much...
When I rebuilt my motor a few years ago I bought a generic gasket set and used most of the smaller random gaskets for the motor except for the HG of course, TB, turbo and elbow gasket, anything that I think would be better off ordering from toyota I went ahead and did that. Some things you just...
If you don't like to go with the upgraded pads/ rotors/lines and what not, the other 2 alternatives would be the nightpager bracket and 300zx calipers with 350z track rotors paired with some nice pads or downward cobra set up. I've seen both set ups in person and the doward kit is amazing.
I have the older sp61 with a bigger wasgate on the shelves waiting to be installed. I need oil lines, any recommendation on to what sizes and where I should get my fittings?
I had them with tokico blues and it was a rake set up and the front sagged after a few years. I switched them out for Eibachs and I liked the eibachs wayyy more. Still was a rake set up but it was so much better overall.
We got some great stories in here. Sold the front end of my car last weekend, haven't touched her since. Need to pull the rest of the parts/motors + trans to drop in a new shell as my shell is toasted. Still haven't had time to get the pictures of what happened a few months ago from my accident...
