I was having this very same issue, mine was cutting out at around 5 K sometimes if i throtled into it it would hit around 5800 to 6K but no more issues. My 1j is at 18.5 lbs of boost and i just regaped from 31 to 28, now it is great. problem fixed - NGK 4644 .028

I am the owner of the car now. I can say the strips wont be on for long. I am not a big fan on the paint job but that can easily be fixed. I do love the car though it drives great and rides really nice.

Is it leaking from the Brass fittings at the Neck or out of the housing itself? BTW I had to tighten My Top nut to astronomicle porportions and it finally Stopped leaking from the engine side of my brass fittings

I have a Hydrolic fan and it started leaking also. I put in the Lucas Oil Powersteering Leak Stop in mine and it stop'd leaking. It also made it quieter and hasnt leaked in around a 2 months. I also did this for the power steering as when its cold it seemed to be louder but after i put the lucas...
