Not being an ass, just making sure, did you install the T-stat with the spring facing the engine or toward the radiator?

:withstupi It probably started out as a bad T-stat, normal maintenance would have possibly saved you, now more than likely you have a lot of work to do....

Very tempting, if it wasn't a 2" cowl. OP: Zankoku Performance, an on site vendor carries one, but as far as I know, no one has fitted one yet. I asked about a return policy and have not heard back (this was over a month ago).

Haha thats just nasty... But yeah, why change out the rear-end? If it is in question, have it rebuilt, they are not weak. Or maybe you are nuts and have a ton of money like Ian....:icon_razz

Just make sure when you have the block decked, to have them bolt the rear timing cover on and deck it along with the block (this is mandatory). Also, I would advise not using an impact driver when it comes to assembly time ;) I personally would not use one at all, even for disassembly, but...

I'm not a big fan of the lettering, but I may try and pick up a set and see what I think. I also have not seen a good pic of the N/A covers by themselves. Edit: Found a pic, the N/As have an indentation also, it's just further back.

Thanks Chris So I have 1-yay and 1-nay......What bugs me a little are the covers....still not sure if I like them or not. I do think it cleans it up better, but also has a cheap look to it :dunno:

Thanks Chris, yeah I have seen that thread (need to read more of it) But the stock coils fit fine. So I don't see the need for the is300 coils, but I do need to read more of that thread... Also I edited the post with pics without using the flash, on a shiny engine it is hard to get good...

Header panel looks great, I've seen it on a few others and have been torn on if I like it or not. But it looks fantastic on your car!

It's a Jegs aluminum duel 1" core Ford style layout radiator. More info is in my build thread, starting in the first post and more info on page 3 (read it, don't just look at the pics ;).

I would suggest ditching it and going with a quality aftermarket gauge.

Mine is not extended out, this is why I don't have a problem (see pic) ;) BTW, Duanes is way more extensive than my set-up.

I believe you are talking about the inner metal support? You would have to fab one up as no one makes an aftermarket one.

Who makes the hood you have? I searched your posts and came up with nothing....Other than Duanes limited run, I have not heard of anyone that makes one that fits properly. I am waiting on painting my car until I find one that is good, hood will be painted along with the car.

^^Exactly, for the price of a good elbow, you could have a good DP. EDIT: What I meant was a full DP that does away with a separate elbow

Caster-camber plates are pointless on the mkiii, we have double A-arm suspension holding the spindle angle in place. Plates only work on mcpherson struts, as the strut holds the angle in place. You would need adjustable A-arms in order to adjust the camber. BTW, I run caster-camber plates...

Mine is an 87. I am not running any grills next to the turn lights, and I am running the 87 turn lights. I will have to go out and look to see if I had to do anything for mounting tabs for the older style lights. EDIT: The turns are mounted to the header panel tabs, so no mods done there. Also...
