    Suck, squish, ?, blow

well my newly 1jz powered Supra has reawakened after a 2 year slumber, when the 7M-GE died in battle(autocross) and answered the question with a bang. Big sigh of relief. :icon_bigg Since I do not have Oil pressure gauge or light working properly I ran it only for a few seconds. I still have a...

The basic difference between the W58 and R154 is the pressure plate used. there may also be a slight variation in diameter of friction surface 3 - 4 mm one of the local parts stores computers listed a 240 and a 237 or something close. There may also be a difference in splines in the input shaft...

Apparently if they ever produce a 2 door I6 sports car again it will be called a SUPRA since there is no more development going on in the I6 arena it does not look good. Like this car however.

In desperation to get my Supra opperational I ordered the fidanza flywheel for the 2JZ-GE In Hopes it would work. Soory , not in stock form. It has wrong bolt pattern if you use the 7M-GTE pressure plate, should work using the 7M-GE pressure plate, but that plate is not stout enough to handle...

    Taking Bets

In the movie twister they referred to a FJ5 tornado as the finger of God. Looks like Rita is going to be the hammer of God. On a side note people tend to think that what we are experiencing right now is the worst that has happened to man. Our memories are too short; lest we forget things like...

    electrics Fans

I have to agree the stock cooling systems where designed well. I went electric because I was planning on also gettting an electric water pump that was thermostaticaly controlled. This system would remove the thermostat. It is the most efficient system I know of and will keep the temperature...

    HELP!!..oil pressure?

The Oil pressure reported by the gauge is not responsible for keeping the metal parts separated. A better gauge would be oil flow. Without a semester long course it is difficult to understand fluid dynamics of hydrostatic bearings. Essentially you want enough flow to allow a film to develop. Oil...

    MKIII racer?

Unfortunately or fortunately depending how you look at it most road race series have specific rules regarding modifications allowed. This is to prevent “buying victory". Most drag racing events I have seen, especially where supras where competing the guy who spent the most usually won. The supra...
