I spotted a pretty clean red 91 or 92 turbo in a parking lot and left a little note on the windshield with directions to this site. He jumped on a few days later and started PMing me, he is a cool old dude (like 55) but I don't think he comes on anymore
I guess the real question is why does this matter? It's like getting upset that the pictures of food in advertisements aren't really the food you get if you go to the restaurant, in fact, the food pictured sometimes ISN'T EVEN REAL FOOD AT ALL. But it doesn't change anything...
I did the exact same thing with my autozone bearing (no pics because i was very mad at the car during the repair lol). Drill out the welds in both housings, transfer the guts, and bolt it back together with many lock washers. ALthough once my driveshaft was back in with the new bearing, it was...
I hope someone in the navy pops on to correct me, but I heard that on an aircraft carrier, the solid steel driveshaft twists 3 full rotations under full torque. Also it's supposed to be 3 feet in diameter and 100 feet long
That pissed me off a little when I finally got my 5 spokes painted, got the tires mounted and balanced, and then the tire place said the sawblade lugnuts are too big for the center caps. They had a box of toyota lugnuts and I got them for $1 each but they are all mismatched and uncool. :lame:
I thought Toyota used the 2-piece driveshafts to cut down on noise and vibration, which is what I want in my car rather than balls to the wall racing monster. I got my driveshaft back from the shop with 2 new u-joints and a straightening and balancing job. It cost me $100 and the car is silky...
I would have gladly done it had i not been so scared of fucking it all up :) I popped the driveshaft out today and oh my god te 2 u-joints on the end were binding all over the place. Awesome. Hopefully the driveline shop doesn't rape me too hard
I'm going to try taking my driveshaft in to a shop because i have no idea what i'm doing with u joints. Can bad u joints cause really bad vibration under acceleration?
My drive home from work a few weeks ago was uneventful, and the car drove like a supra should. The next day, however, I got lots of bad clicking and vibration from the drivetrain !!!?!?!?!?
The sounds in question are weird little clicks that range from soft to pretty loud. It sounds like it...
I mounted my cheap auto parts store air horns behind the passenger headlight, but they aren't nearly as loud as they should be. Get the airhorn set that includes the air compressor, tank, and switch so you can blast people with 150psi of air
go for the white wheels :naughty: black on black on black on black is played out, plus you will have to use tire shine like a mofo to keep it from looking bad
