    installed new clutch, vibration problems

It sucks but you need to pull it off and have the flywheel balanced as well. You can get them balanced separately and as a unit

    Wierd electrical problem

clean you battery cables/posts. Possibly replace your battery cables and the main electrical power supply cable that goes to the junction box from your + post. If that doesnt help change your battery.

    1.5jz gt 42 turbo manifold.

manifolds go by flange type not turbo type. Since a gt42 takes a t4 flange, all you need is a 1jz manifold with a t4 flange....

Cool man - best of luck with your 2j setup. It will be worth it in the end! At least you have the right oil pan if you go with an Aristo motor!

    need shop for head work

Sorry - I dont have pics but there are a few guys that have done it. Look up defiant7m I had mocked it up in my shop but I havent ran it myself. I measured it all out with the micrometer - I cant see any reason why it wouldnt work, and you wouldnt have to purchase the Ferrea retainers and...

    Need help with 1.5jz build

The point I was getting at is that the GE blocks are cheap and readily available and have been proven to hold a lot of power. Just throwing an idea out. If you could grab a GE you could be out 500 bucks or so and be back up and running in a few days. But if the squirters are a must have then...

    need shop for head work

Instead of purchasing a set of aftermarket valves, you may want to look into swapping in a set of 2j valves from a GTE or GE block (same thing). The valves are just a bit bigger than 1 mm (closer to 1.5mm oversize) and would work well with a set of regrind cams because they are just a bit taller...

    Some rebuild questions

Get the rings recommended by JE Pistons. You should be OK honing the cylinders without a torque plate. Honing doesnt really remove a measurable amount of material; it just roughens up the surface.

    Need help with 1.5jz build

Jay, I went through your thread and I didnt see anybody recommend that you use a GE short block instead... You could probably pick one up pretty cheap and just go with a bit thicker head gasket. The GTE and GE short blocks are practically identical.

    Oil Pans?

You should be able to get the rear sump pan off of any lexus IS or SC with the NA 2jzge. Check on craigslist for a lexus partout in a few different cities. Chances are that somebody parting out the lex doesnt know what they have.

    The people's car - SupraMania.com 7m build

Rich, In retrospect I think I would have been better off going with a universal AEM vs a 2jz AEM for my 2j swap. For example, I had to wire in an ignitor between the C2DI and the AEM because it didnt recognize the signal. There were a few other little things and it may not be what you...

    Question about an eclipse...

If he is getting too much blow by then it is possible that the rings are shot on his motor. Do a compression test first, and if it is good I would upgrade the PCV system with some bigger lines.
