    Lots of blue smoke/misfire/ turbo?

Oh, make sure you remove the cam caps in sequence per TSRM or you will snap a camshaft in half. You can't just unbolt them from front to back. You didn't snap one did you?

Victor Reinz Nitroseal headgasket instead of MLS. Okay?

I was thinking about using one of those for my next rebuild. I onced used a felpro gasket with no re-torque on stock Toyota head bolts with an upgraded turbo running 15psi and it held up for a few years before #1 piston decided to break its ringlands. When I took the engine apart the headgasket...

1989 NA Build- ALL Motor, no turbos here

Thought to myself, "Why!?". Then saw your location. I visited San Francisco Aug. of 2013, and it never reached over 65* the two weeks I was there. Asked to locals is this some kind of freakish cold front they're having and they said it was like that all year long. Are those factory exhaust...

Yes, pop those cams & buckets off and take good pictures of the retainers, keepers, and springs as they are.

$100 82 L type gets 7mgte swap, paint, P type conversion, suspension, ect ect

Those are some strong numbers, especially that trap speed. That's some good power to weight ratio. Which brand of slicks are you running? Oh yeah, it's really cool to see your son go from laying in a playpen, to walking, to attending your drifting/ drag sessions. The years go by fast, and you...

Thank you 3p. I knew you'd chime in about our cars falling into open loop. You could also tap into Vf by by tapping into E1 and Vf1 on the diagnostic block with a voltmeter and monitor it. When the car goes into open loop it'll go from reading 2.5-3.5v in closed loop to I believe what I remember...

If you're rolling on the throttle into boost TCCS will not immediately go into open loop. If you were to go full throttle say around 2000rpm and watch it build boost, what will your afr's do while boost builds? I would think your car will go open loop sooner, and you'll be running rich well...

I stumbled upon this site. http://classiccars.com/listings/find/1972/oldsmobile/cutlass?p=2 I think my neighbors Cutlass convertible is a '72. I wonder if he's done with it, or keeping it for the long haul. If you're interested I'll ask him.

    Lots of blue smoke/misfire/ turbo?

Leakdown test would show you where the air is escaping. That would tell you what's wrong with your engine. Youtube how to do a leakdown test, and have at it. You'll be a pro after watching a couple of vids. If you don't have a leak down tester you can use the hose from the compression tester...

    Some pics from today

My 555r's scared the crap out of me on the highway when it rained. I could feel the back end walking all over the place at 35mph. I had to get off the highway. Drag radials are not meant for wet weather driving.

Mike, I don't really participate in any other forums. I do lurk on moparts.com, turbomustangs.com, ls1tech.com, and do alot of research. That's about it. What kind of domestic are you talking about? Old school muscle, modern sports cars? Did you upgrade your ecu or something? These site are...
