I honestly think they look decent. Better than sawblades IMO. Plus some of the Starion/Conquests did have staggered wheels. Wouldn't be bad for some winter wheels.

I guess it wouldn't hurt to put thread locker on it. It's not like it needs to come out again (unless the filter side gets stripped). But, that's just a socket and some muscle away from coming out.

I have the PPS rack in my car. But, I don't even have it wired up and it is just fine for me.

I don't like how they combined the bumper with the nose piece and trim. It makes it too "plain" looking. Do I like it? It's decent Would I buy it? Nope

According to the diagram that you linked, it looks correct to me. I'm not sure about the o-ring. I would think that it would be a washer. But, you could probably use some teflon tape on it.

Optima are suppose to be really good batteries. Something over like 1000cca. I have the Advanced Auto Platinum battery. I think it was around $80. So far, so good with it. I've been using the platinum batteries for years now on different cars. I'd say they are pretty good for the price.
