Mine came off fine I'm not sure that your doing anything wrong just sounds like you found a tough bolt! It should only be at 60 ft-lbs so it will be tough but shouldn't be breaking tools, like he said ^^ try a better socket and give her another go!
I don't think I will gut it but I am going for mid 500HP and i see when you go with an aem standalone its split up into those body years, i'm guessing the ecu are different between those year ranges

oil level is fine, valve seals should still be good im almost wondering if the total runout of my valve shaft isnt to spec anymore or of the guides arnt either
