I thought of that already but decided not to waste my money because i bought the Chinaman's 3" v-band from my bro and am waiting till summer to put that on and that has a 3" tip not 4.5" so it would kind of be a waste for me. For the meantime though i think that cutting it would work?
Well i finally got the darn thing off!!! :icon_surp
I drove it around for a while to heat up the muffler. Then i soaked it with PB blaster after driving it on the highway for like 15 mins. Took the jack pole thing like BorHor said and yanked it maybe 10 times before it actually popped out...
I will try this tomorrow morning.
Also, i will try this.
This is the style silencer i have, i have the front of the silencer all bent into the middle of the silencer. to help it move freely. (i got aggravated and don't care if i ruin it anymore.)
I'll attempt at removing it again...
Just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to remove a silencer off any muffler. I have a 4.5" Megan racing muffler. The bolt & nut are off but it still seems to be stuck, i've tried prying it with a cro-bar, Flathead screwdriver, Spraying it with WD-40, Using vice grips, and a coat hanger...
I like the 89+ 5spokes on silver supras. This is my silver one. I also used to have the silver rims that are on the black supra on the silver supra. They looked decent but looked kind of big considering the Silver one wasnt lowered yet.
Wow beautiful Supra! I usually don't like wingless but damn thats sexy!!!!
I'm loving that exhaust it looks pimp haha. What kind is it? or is it custom?
Thats what my brother was trying to say, hes not sure if its because of his setup or not. I doubt it was the downpipe because he had the factory exhaust before this and it looked normal.
I think the piping was just fabricated a tad...well a lot longer than its supposed to. Wait till you see...
Personally the RSR sounds better and looks better with the 4 inch tip. I heard it on a 1JZ on stock twins. This thing sounded like a beast and was crazy loud.
This exhaust isnt really that worth it unless you want to mod it to make it fit. You DO get what you pay for...
Any pics of that exhaust? Saw an unknown one like that on ebay and might pick it up. Not sure if it will hang too low or if it even fits for that matter.
Nice Supra tho. Mine looks like it should be in a junkyard compared to this lol
I used some cheap spray paint. from a pep boys. It matches pretty well, its slightly darker than stock but its barley noticable. only when you look close.
Mine does that. when i take a turn the needle goes all the way to empty. Talked to a toyota tech and he thinks its the sensor that sits in the gas tank.
I don't know about all the other parts. But the boost controller is a knock-off. my bro has one and he almost blew the engine when he turned the boost down according to the dial on the controller. and boosted 20+ on a stock engine unexpectedly. Wouldn't doubt it if the rest is crap too.
