Flow dynamics is a complicated field. I would guess that any change, good or bad, would be minimal. Determining whether or not they help would be a difficult thing, but chances are if it does help some cylinders, it would probably hurt others.
Well I certainly agree on both counts. 308 is wonderful on almost all counts. And the AK really isn't the most accurate gun, but it wasn't designed to be. It was designed to be efficient and affective within 150 yards or so, and it does that wonderfully.
