    1jzgte dyno run

If your car is going to be used as a daily, might I suggest the 264 cams versus the 272's? My car acts a bit more as an on/off switch with the 264's (and porting/polishing to match), I can't imagine a car with the 272's make much useable power down low where it is used in daily driving. I guess...

Correct me if I'm mistaken Jake, but when it comes to phase, how much does it matter, so long as all speakers are on the same phase?

1946 Chevy Fleetmaster 2-door, meet "Betty"...

In the last couple weeks with the Lexus: -have completely cleaned up the LS400 (as much as I am going to anyway) -changed out the oil -removed the two rear-most mufflers (the car has two cats, one resonators, and four mufflers), sounds like a (gasp) car now! -inflated the tires to a uniform...

I can see your point on the one hand, but on the other... I'm trying to have my fun while my dollar is still worth (more or less) a dollar. At least I had the sense to finally buy a house when the market somewhat bottomed out around here. No sense in owning a badass car if you have to park it on...

Any 2 Wheel Lovers on the forums

Careful there... buddy of mine found out the hard way what that costs if Johnny Law happens to notice you doing that. $800 something later... and a year or so worth of probation... :nono:

    how rare are which supras?

Definitely weren't cheap cars man, at least not by the time they got to building the Mk3. If I remember, my 89 supposedly stickered at $24,900 back in 1988. I've seen a few 91/92 cars upwards of 33k... Would love to see that ad if you have the link. That seems rather odd... should have been...

    New with some dumb/easy questions

3075 lbs? Ambitious, but certainly possible. For a car focused on handling and response, I would recommend the 1uz. Lighter, shorter, higher compression, and the earlier engines were VERY overbuilt. There is a guy on here (I forget his name) who boosted a 1uz in his Mk3, the results are pretty...

dash light. what does it mean?

Also works well as a cheap g-meter. If it is on, your tires are holding up nicely. Adjust fluid level in the overflow reservoir to the capacity of your grip. :)

    Supra Drifting ? Plausable?!

Honestly, for the money... Buy an LS1 powered F-body with a manual. Easy to transition, easy to break free, easy to handle, and a long wheel base so you don't wrap your ass around a pole backwards the first time.

    Exhaust Resonator

I get drones with my setup (3" from the turbos back, no cats, one resonator, one muffler), but it only seems to be at a couple different RPM levels. Possible to cruise at a different rpm or gear?

    Twin turbo manifold for 7mgte

Definitely everything posted in here. ;) Err... what is going on there man. There has to be a story out there somewhere. Surprised none of the OG's have mentioned anything about it yet. Definitely an odd one though. Same thing happens to my buddy's NA rotary engine. If he runs it high enough...

To buy or not to buy

If you can get a clean shell and interior for a decent price (no more than $2000 for a damn near immaculate shell), put some money into a mini-restoration and love it. For $10k (if you know what you want, make a plan, and stick to it), you can have a pretty sweet car in a couple years. :)

Driving expectations with a new 154

My dad had a 1970 LS6 SS Chevelle with that setup once upon a few decades ago. Picked it up for $800, bored the motor out a bit, then wrapped it around a pole at 17 from being drunk and dumb enough to drive. Fast forward 25 years when those cars are selling for upwards of 6 figures (I remember a...

    Is this mirror broken?

Can't say I've seen that. I've seen plenty of them (always seems to be one side or the other) where one mirror will "wiggle" a lot from road bumps. I'm wondering if there isn't some sort of gear, or adjustment that has skipped past its acceptable range... don't know about the inside of our...

    collision question.......

Just about anything can be fixed. Keep in mind, it is in an insurance company's best interest to pay as LITTLE as possible. Hopefully you have some good pictures of what its condition was before the accident. Sorry to hear your troubles, sounds like you have a bit of a future headache developing. :(

    Closed course racing ;)

Not that rotary powered monster... old beetles are completely excluded from the "silly VW's" group I speak of. Takes all of about 300hp to roll those things through a lazy 11 second quarter. That said, I don't think I've ever seen one break into the 9's in person either. 10's all day long there...

    Heater not blowing

Actually had to look up Tango Uniform... In my experience with heating and Mk3's, it is usually the problem behind door number 3 here. Try opening the valve with your finger (push the plunger upward) and see if that un-sticks it. I am starting to think your suggestion is what might be wrong...
