There was a thread somewhere on here where the guy had a 30 RWHP difference in peak power, but had a more broader powerband. IIRC, the power drops off at around 5000 RPMs for the N/A cams.
You should read this site more. Whenever someone says they want a car, everyone offers "lowballing" as advice.
I've actually never gotten lowballed. Some person offered me 8000 for my car, haha.
Well, I guess since the maintenance section took way too much space in the N/A Upgrade FAQ, I decided to post up a completely different topic. In this thread I'll post up every single maintenance-type reference I've found on these forums and possibly others, so it's easy to find help instead of...
You tuned it on your GE with no problems? Did you get gains or what? :D
I have a wideband of my own, so tuning is no problem, I just need to know if it will work or not.
Once again, jong, the originator of the 1/2NA-T tuned his car with an SAFC too. So yeah..we need to hear Degree's dad's...
My brother _had_ it. He gave it to me because he changed his setup, plus, hes turbo now :P
Anyways, let's see if anyone else has some input on this. I want to know if I can use the SAFC I got for free or not :D
You really can't? My brother got his hooked up to his car and he has a wiring diagram somewhere and it seemed to be working, and I'll be doing it shortly. When I say it "seemed to be working", I'm referring to the fact that the SAFC monitored stuff on the screen, although I'm not sure if it can...
Although you didn't search hard enough, the main reason is because R154s can withstand way more power than the W58, although the W58 shifts smoother. People say that W58s can last up to 350 RWHP, but some don't, and some last longer depending on how you treat the transmission. Hard launches...
I like these other car build threads...especially this one and Kyle's :D
Nice car, and don't let the whole Found On Road Dead thing bother you. It's just an annoying saying that people like to say.
