He might have bought the Tanabe Medallion Touring, which is around 100 more bucks than the Tanabe Super Hyper Medallion. That 750 might have included shipping, but yeah, 750 IS a lot.

SF in general is just full of idiots. There are decent MKIV owners in some places (like the admin of this site), you just can't look for them on SF, lol.
You should give a choice between the ST and tanabe, because they have different features.
ST is cheaper, but only made of steel that's powdercoated, while Tanabe is more expensive because it is made of Chromium Molybdenum which IIRC is stronger than steel, and lighter too. :D
