I think you'll hit stock fuel cut at 12.5psi or something like that.. I used to run insanely rich under boost.. but i had a boost leak.. fixed leak.. fixed rich conditions.
But you should be at least able to run 10psi safely. I think. hah
I run 10psi, gonna try to knock it up to 12 today...
57 trim should be ok as long as you keep the boost down.. how much boost are you (or going to)running now? Go get ya a Lex AFM (+ 550cc, walbro fuel pump)upgrade!
most of the people that are running composite/stock HG just dont run that much boost.
I have a composite in mine with ARP studs and im gonna be running 10psi and a max of 12. A composite will hold that no problem.
hahah.. when i first heard this i kept thinking about this song.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXnT5NnHYEQ
jeez i remember when this song was no 1 on the radio in Norway..
lol that 240SX was hilarious.. friggin dumbass hahahah.. i didnt even have to get into boost for that lol!
Post some of them pics up Pete!!
Pete.. get your car tuned! :-p
Correct me if im wrong.. but werent all GA70s narrowbody's? Other than that.. id just yank out the 1G and put in a engine of your preference.. id ditch the 1g cause of parts availability though..
If its in good shape.. pick it up! :D
i just changed my HG with felpro HG and ARP studs (@ 90ft/lbs) and so far ive been running 7psi with no problems.. i plan on turning it up to about 12psi daily..
its not san antonio.. but i have a friend here in houston that has a 1j and he said that he just had to slap on a cat and it passed... Texas emissions is pretty lenient.. and i think its heavier here in houston than San Antonio
label your wires/connectors as you take em off
when i did mine.. i labeled mine 1-70.. as then i know what i took off first and last and how to reassemble
take lots of pics for the weird parts..
i used blue masking tape and a sharpie to label harness plugs/hoses and etc etc
