you're right it's just a car and it can easily be replaced, I just don't see why anyone in their right mind would even go through the hassle just to change the look of the car.
the ironic part is that 98% of the time, the "modifications" look like garbage.

I know there is one on the bottom of the engine block, right above the oil pan. I cannot remember which side it's on though.
there is also one on the exhaust towards the rear of the car. but I'm not sure about this one. I work on several cars and sometimes confuse these things between them...
you need to fix that code 51, which I think is the knock sensor. It's probably the wiring.
someone here sells a rewire kit, I just can't remember who.
I'm sure someone will chime in though.

I wouldn't do it.
If it runs fine, I doubt the valves are bent. the timing needs to waaayyy off to bend valves.
I guess that depends on the motor clearances.
Have you checked the motor mounts?
if you have stains, take a claybar and some mothers wax to it. It will look new again.
it made a night and day difference on my white supra. the rubbing got rid of those nasty stains for me.
