Climate control is probably fine. Put it in your car and try it, it will take 10 minutes max. Check to see if the pump clicks on, i think you need to have enough freon to kick it on. The only reason to remove the ac belt would be if the compressor is locked up. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

It has been about a year since I have driven it. If I remember correctly, it doesn't crank. It just makes a clicking noise, just like if the battery was weak. But when it's cold, it starts up perfect. I'll charge up the battery this weekend and go drive it around and post the results.

Yes, they will make a big difference. Go for the more powerful one if you can afford it. 625ft will be enough for most things on your car, but you never know when you may need that extra power. I have a 600 ft. and that won't take of my crank pulley. (but my compressor is a piece)...

I'm with IJ on this one, you must not be crimping it properly. I had this problem until I saw a friend crimping a wire..that's when I figured out why mine kept falling off.
