Jeff i was actually talking to a friend of mine a few weeks ago about how much better it would be to make a console that would eliminate that dip. It would feel like more of a cockpit and look better for the shifter. I wonder if there is a way to mold in another console or make something...
okay before we go diagnosing a rich mixture, lets verify that the problem is burning gasoline off. What color is the smoke on startup? maybe its coolant burning, or oil. Does it smoke while driving? does it stop after the car warms up? We need more info.
Maybe you have something loose? exh manifold? turbo bolts? maybe even intake manifold tends to make whistling and that would cause you to hit fuel cut early cuz you're losing measured air. Check around and make sure everything is nice and tight. exhaust "leaking" out of your ddp wouldnt do much...

Search tool is your friend. 4.3 psi min @ idle... around 40 mark by 3krpm.. if you arent reaching 40 psi you should probably check your oil and add accordingly. If still bad after an oil change and fill up id think bout your bearings
