Any reviews would be aweome. :biglaugh:
Nice Boris. 240 convertibles are definitely nice. One guy down the street from my house has one that he is restoring from frame up and it looks very nice.
All that #3 cover does is prevent crap from falling into the spark plug area. The oil leaks from the actual valve covers. If your valve covers don't leak , then there will not be any oil around the plugs.
For rennats case, the plugs are oily inside the cylinder not the ceramic part. Maybe you...
He is not in Sac though...he is near Suisun valley lol... I guess its the same thing..both are farms.. lol
Well...my second Teal one should be running by Friday. And yes..this ones a 7mgte :( haha
You should go with your option. This will give you a chance to look at the engine in person as I assume its local to you if its on craigslist.

There is one round connector for the alternator that plugs into the back of the alternator. This has three wires.
Then there is the thick black wire = power wire which gets bolted down to the alternator.
Yeah nothing speacial on these man. YOu can run it behind/under radiator support but make sure it is protected. I would be concerned a bit about it for possibilty of fire during a front end collison.
There's only four wires to extend. Use same gauge wires for the 3 thinner wires. I used a zero gauge wire in place of the two black wires that bolt on to the altrernator and is live. Most people route them over the cam cover area like factory.
Good solder joints, shrink wrapped worked for...
Your timing is controlled by the cam sensors and the crank . I would these wires at the plugs as well at the point where they were extended ( if you went that route) to make sure the wires were not switched during reconnect.soldering ( basically check the signal and ground ).
The short...
Make sure you recheck your timing first in the correct manner.
Make usre the #1 Cylinder is at TDC ( to the top ) and your cam pulley marks should be facing on the top aligned with the marks on the back plate.
Your Crank Pulley should read zero degrees.
If the above is not in order, reset...
I can almost guarantee a weak battery. However I can't see the video so can't say for sure. What you are discribing sounds like a weak battry though. Supras like good power to fire up.
