i was wondering if anyone has any pictures of the mk3 with smoked taillights, i was thinking about maybe doing it. i couldn't find any pictures, or information about mk3 supras with the mod
i don't believe the car is burning oil, i checked the level and it looked normal. the coolant is leaking ONLY from the overflow tank, i haven't run any compression tests, but the car is running perfectly so i don't think it should be bad. BUT.. in the overflow, the tank is pretty dirty, and it...
well maybe he wanted to turn the sawblades into real sawblades, b/c the setup as they are on the mk3 makes it look like you've got your saw on reverse. :0
i'm into drifting, used to watch initial d, but that's not what got me into the sport. it was definitely an episode of formula d where chris forsberg went to japan and drifted around a mock-touge with that crazy daijiro guy
i just use baseball batting gloves, they keep me from getting burnt, and give me a little more grip on whatever i need to do (my hands tend to sweat ALOT).. but the ones i have can breathe and absorb the oil/whatever im working with and it gets to your hands :\
oh i forgot to mention, the car has created a pretty huge buildup at the end of the exhaust pipe that looks something like really dark grinded coal or something (i replaced the exhaust system maybe 3-4 months ago), i know this is a sign that the car isn't running correctly..but what could cause...
i'm having the same exact problem, but it's on my 89 N/A, the car didn't pass about 4 days ago and i've been noticing ALOT of dark dustish stuff at the end of the exhaust pipe.. will definitely keep a look out on this thread, gl with your problem
there's no need for a MHG if you're not going turbo, the only reason the 7MGE/T's blow their gaskets is because toyota didn't torque them down enough, but if you torque down the OEM correctly, that shouldn't be a problem
oh alright, i thought that i had a problem. it would go away after it got back to normal and i thought that was odd, coolness
yea i got the NGK plugs, b/c i heard good things about them
alright well i ran the diagnosis, and on idle the car was fine, but if i rev'd it up a little, i got the code 51, something about a switch signal.. i didn't understand what that was on the TSRM, could that be affecting the richness?
i went and bought a new set of spark plugs for the car and...
alright, i'll check the codes tomorrow, a few months ago the car was spitting out code 52, but my friend fixed it and i haven't checked since.. will also replace the o2 sensor and see if that fixes it
thanks for all the help
well, i went today to get the car inspected and the guy said it was running really rich, wasn't near passing.. definitely explains why i've been getting pretty crappy mpg (around 12-14)
is there something i can do on my own to adjust this? or do i have to take it to a mechanic, any info is...
if you drop in another engine, you are again at risk of getting another BHG unless you change out that HG as well, which would mean that you'd have to go through all of these measures again eventually. but since you said that it runs fine, just replacing the HG is probably the best/easiest route
