those turbo's u will need a custom DP.
if your not going the CT-26 route or ne other bolt on turbos to the stock mani, ne other turbo your most likey going to have to custum make.
all maintanence first, if ne leaks fix it, if u havent allrdy change HG with ARP hardware.
THEN add an ....
Apexi or K&N intake 3inch Ex. with a BIC downpipe, or a Divorced Downpipe if u have no emmisions, MBC-manual boost ontroller....clean up the engine a little, and then use the search...
its n ot a t3 or t4....
it has its own unique flange.
so the only turbos that will be a complete turbo are
BOSS, SP, JT, some turbonetics, a couple more i think.
i like the JT from what ive read and heard from the maker Jeff/username jtamulis...
i guess he's trying to say ihe see's that the car is boosting from the boost gauge and sounds, but he doesnt feel the response the car should be giving from the readings...
if thats the case u have a boost leak.
yes remove the shims i bet thats causing feul cut faster, plus its bad for the turbo itself.
even if u take off the shims and and add the manual boost controller u will have boost spikes and most likely casue feul cut.
u can always port out the WG or get a new WG to maybe solve the boost...
here's an answer...
if u want to stick with the stock mani. u can go Boss, JT, SP, turbonetics, a couple more i think.
im also shooting for like 450ish guess
im going with one of these turbos

well if it is more of a ticking/tapping then you prolly just have to adjust the valves.
if u think its a rod knock it more of a loud clunk. Think about something hitting the block repetitivley.
