    1jz vs a 2jz internal swaps?

So unlike some of the VQ (nissan engines) we can't use stock parts from other jz engines to make a low cost stroker?

    California CAT suggestion?

One of my friends ordered a CAT from E-bay for an out state car OBD1. He welded it in place took it to the smog shop and passed. How he got around it is being that shops can get a ticket for doing it but he did it in his backyard. He was running a test pipe and that's why he added the cat.

New to SM and RWD Toyota's

Well it's a been a while since I updated this. Since then I have added a few more toys... I got some 19*8.5 and 19*9.5 in rear ADR wheels (couldn't beat the price) 1 piece drive shaft, 3" exhaust system, R154 swap, and still saving up for boost and boost accessories. Plans are to rebuild my...

    Boosting my GE

After doing a lot of reading I am still going to go with the GE block but I am not too sure about the GE head or 1jz-gte or 2jz-gte head. From what I read the GE flows better then the GE but the GTE heads have more options on cams. Once again I also have 2 complete GE's hahaha.

    2jz flywheels

Well it can be used if the it's re-drilled and tapped to the whatever pressure plate is going to be used on it. BUT it's not recommended and can shatter if not balanced and evenly drilled/tapped. It's just a big no no :3d_frown:

    Boosting my GE

I did run the idea of going with a 1jz or 1.5jz but I have always came back on the NA-T route because I have an extra 2jz-ge block and had access to some parts for it. I am going to be redoing the internals on my spare block from a gte. Fuel I will run a mk4 fuel pump, high flow ge fuel rail and...

    Boosting my GE

Correct with that HG I am going to be going for about 400-450 hp max while I still drive it on the road. Once I upgrade my brakes, suspension, and rear end to handle the rest of the power I will also swap out the HG to a 2mm maybe 2.5mm I did look into a EMS and I was refrence back to the...

Save my 88T thread... forNever ending..

Well the 1jz is a very good engine, so is the 2jz's. That's if you are trying to stay away from the 7m. I am going to be going the NA-t route with the 2jz-ge from what I hear they are good for 600hp without a problem.

Reid's 2jz swap! (lots of pics) 56k no.

Looks good! Looks like you are spending a lot of time working on that 2jz I'm guessing you are going to get a 1jz flywheel and bell housing for your r154 and run it that way? (assuming it's a 5 speed)
