Buy a brand new Mines ECU, or send yours off

I recommend you answer my question. Yes or No Ric!!?? You are the king of tap dancing and it's getting old. Your irrational and silly posts are getting old too.

Buy a brand new Mines ECU, or send yours off

It is a yes or no question. It's not like asking if a GT47-88 is better than a GT35R. When is a reflash ECU with piggy backs EVER going to be better than a standalone tuned by a qualified tuner? Why can't you say yes or no. Are you afraid to be wrong? :stickpoke Rakkasan...

Buy a brand new Mines ECU, or send yours off

:blah: Not have to touch it again? Right, because people NEVER change their setups at all(more injector, different turbo). What do you do with a Mine's ECU when you upgrade or change your setup? Ship it back overseas for another month? Add some piggy backs? Sure as hell sounds like...

Buy a brand new Mines ECU, or send yours off

And why would a standalone not be an advantage for a daily driver? You take your car with your EMS to a qualified tuner, have him tune it efficiently, and don't touch it again. What difference does it make how often the car is driven? Answer the f*cking question YES OR NO!!! All you had to...

Buy a brand new Mines ECU, or send yours off

What makes you think no one can make over 500hp on 91/93 pump? Is that not dependant on the turbo, boost level, and MANY other factors and variables? You think people don't have easy access to fuel with higher octane levels? Even on pump gas, do you seriously believe there is no benefit of a...

And I've done 293whp on stock twins with a Mine's ECU and other mods. What's your point? Answer my other question, please.

Buy a brand new Mines ECU, or send yours off

Why don't you answer my question? :stickpoke Is it or is it not your opinion that a 1800 dollar Mine's ECU is a better investment than a standalone EMS?? I asked you so many pages ago and all you do is tap dance around the question like usual. Maybe you won't answer because you know saying...

Buy a brand new Mines ECU, or send yours off

:blah::blah::blah: Why are you getting so butt hurt because we disagree with you? Maybe you missed it but at least 3 of the people you are having a discussion with have are not on stock twins.(csnow is 2j single in the works, tissimo had a single turbo and now a 2J, and rakkasan is single)...

Buy a brand new Mines ECU, or send yours off

Right, because reflashing ECUs is Mine's only means of income. :stickpoke Oh, here we go... Maybe you missed just about everyone here saying they would RATHER spend 1800 on a standalone. Did you see any posts that said, "I would not spend 1800 on an ECU for my Supra"? No. Pay attention...

    My New Toy...

I don't know about that... There's alot of multi-gen owners that have equal interest in both cars. I know you know Christian(racefiend) with the MK2,3, and 4. And how about SupraCentral. He has both...

Buy a brand new Mines ECU, or send yours off

Ric isn't offering jack shit. He's advertising for Manictech. You're right. There are people out there that would love a plug in play tuned ECU. I'm one of them. I have one. But I'd claw my eyes out with rusty nails before I spent 1800 dollars on an inferior product to a standalone that...

    9k Tach interchangability?

haha. You win. :) I forgot you were using a V pro now. Still seems odd that your tach would be off by 500 RPM at that point.

Buy a brand new Mines ECU, or send yours off

Why would you even ask such a nonsensical question?:stickpoke Obviously a standalone is going to require a tune before it performs at an optimal level for your car and setup. And if the tune is sufficient and effective, it shouldn't require adjustment after the fact unless you change something.

Buy a brand new Mines ECU, or send yours off

Ok, so if people are making power like that with AFCs, then where is the need for 1800 dollar Mine's ECU at all? We can keep tap dancing around all these other peripheral points all day but the bottom line is you can get alot more for your dollar and time with 1300/1800 than a reflashed stock...

Buy a brand new Mines ECU, or send yours off

Man, you're on point today. :) Another +1 here. 1300/1800 simply isn't cost effective for a Mine's ECU when you can do much more with a standalone around the same price.

Exactly. This isn't a for sale thread. It's a discussion and we are welcome to throw in our 2 cents about the price, it's value, or whatever.

+1 on that example of OBD1 lean spot. You're so right. So much for Toyota's millions of dollars in development huh? A stock ECU is best, for a stock car... Once you start modding, you have to add piggy backs and other electronics to supplement or fool the stock ECU to make the car run as...
