Look for damage on the metal surface. A bad scratch or gash could make the seal not seal properly. If you have a scratch or something I'm not sure what you could use to fix it. Maybe someone else will chime in... Good luck Emp!
I just got a spec stage 2 and Specs come with a stock PP. If I had it to do again I would have gotten an upgraded PP. My spec 2 disc is awesome feeling very good for DD.
It doesn't seem that hard to me...unless I am missing something.
Relocate battery
Drop bracket for the alternator
IC and pipes
Throttle cable/linkage
What did I miss?
Does the catch can have a vacuum line hooked up to it? I know when I plugged my PCV lines it would suck oil into the motor on vac. and blow smoke like crazy. BTW this also blew my cam seals in short order. I'm not sure how catch cans work exactly, so I'm just throwing that out there.
2 letters...CA... No offense to you CA guys...but CA thinks up some of the dumbest crap I've ever heard of. I hope it breaks off and sinks into the sea...or at least floats away.
Awesome Shaeff! Man, its so cool to have all these re-build threads going at once! Its cool to see all the different little things that people are having problems with and what they are doing differently from eachother. Good luck with the rest of the process!
Yea I have a turbonetics silicone coupler on mine. Its a 2.5", it was a stretch but with a little grease it went on. Nows its stretched out and slides on and off easy.
