Yeah that is what I've heard. I also heard that MIG welding "splashes" metal during welding. Is this true?

I would be very interested in this too, as I am very into learning how to weld! Overall, what is the best form of welding for beginners? MIG/TIG/ARC?

Update: I got the car running again. Turns out that the starting problem was a blow ignition fuse. The car now stalls whenever the gas pedal is released. As well, iIt will idle normally for approx. 2 minutes at startup before stalling. Now I checked the resistance for my old AFM and my new one...

Take any switch, I prefer buttons, and wire it into the power on your car. If your really intent on stopping them just wire it in between the power supply and the ecu. That way when they try to jack it, the starter motor will turn its guts out, but the ecu will not be functional. aka, they will...

Just so people know... I am not intentionally talking to myself, I just want to make sure that someone with a similar problem NEVER has to go through what I am going through. Hopefully by the time I have sorted this out this thread will be able to help someone else out in the future.

I wouldn't lose all hope. They did after all leave another car right next to your empty spot. For all you know they will just drive it till they run out of gas then leave it. Either that or joy ride into a tree.
