There are a lot of people making similar numbers on the stock TB, so it can be done. I would personally go with a 65-70mm TB. The reason I went with a 70mm is for two reasons: 1.- I am running 2.5" (63.5mm) IC piping. The stock TB is 2 3/8" (60mm) not taking into account the airspace the...

    homemade ffim?

Thanks! Good point Seth! I also used preheating, (with a propane torch). It does make a world of difference.

You can use the stock one. It's all up to you and the mod level you are shooting for.

    homemade ffim?

Thanks, Yep I machined, cut and formed all the aluminum myself;) There are 7 pieces that make up the mani, not including the runners. And yes the "plate" is rounded over like velocity stacks, to smooth out the air flow entering the runners.

BBS 15in wheels?? not sure how that would look...

That was the point of the chop, to show how horrible they would look with low profiles. :barf:

    homemade ffim?

I welded mine with my mig and an "aluminum kit", worked good. But I practiced for a while on the aluminum I had left over. I did take the mani into a local fab shop to have the runners tig welded on, as it is not easy to get a good bead with a mig in tight spots like that. When I pressure tested...

BBS 15in wheels?? not sure how that would look...

It would look even worse with low profiles on a small rim, not to mention the over all diameter would then be way off. The only reason for running a lower profile tire is when running a larger OD wheel, this keeps the OD of the tire the same as stock. EDIT: :puke:

    UMM OOPS I THINK..

True, you roll the dice you get what you get. But it's not something I would be willing to wager, especially not on the supra.

    UMM OOPS I THINK..

If it gets to that point, it will be time for a full rebuild (should do this anyway if you have a BHG of any kind) But the foamy oil means coolant is in the oil....next step KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK :icon_surp the bearings will not last too much more if you see foam.

BBS 15in wheels?? not sure how that would look...

Will a 15" wheel clear our brakes? But non the less 15's will look funny IMO.

    FFIM Question (DashPot and ISC)

I was confused thinking you were comparing the stock to the Fast. I didn't take it as a personal hit, I used myself as an example of using the stock (and rambled on). But I totally agree with what you are getting at (now that I get it) ;)

That's not the first time someone has told me that:icon_bigg . But I did some PS chops and like the full silver better.
