Actually, the Gen3 Dakotas (97-04) have a VERY high safety rating. I know a buddy personally that rolled his and he came out with barely a scratch. I've known others that have been in NASTY wrecks and came out fairly unscathed as well.

Moog and Spicer are really good aftermarket brands (just bought all Spicer Pro Grade stuff to do my truck this weekend), and AFAIK, AC Delco is basically stock-quality replacement. I'd stick with Moog or Spicer Pro Grade.

RockAuto is probably cheaper, but O'Reilly's probably has them in-stock.

I'm actually in the Navy, so I don't currently pay for healthcare...but the latter half of that statement holds true....LOL!

I can vouch for the saftey of a MkIII to the driver..... The other car was worse off. T-boned the lady doing about 40, was a Nissan/Infiniti SUV. She was OK personally, but her car was destroyed. Aside from that front-end damage, only cabin damage structurally...
