My 82 does the same thing, people always freak out about it, but hey... that'll just make the 7m swap that much more reasonable.... :biglaugh: I'm sure after 4500 miles it would have done whatever it was gonna do though... THing is... mine only does it if I keep it at a constant speed...

I would probably just get a bolt started and tighten it down, not enough to break anything, but sometimes it just works that way. All the Fords I've worked on recently I had to do this with.... Just make sure that the trans is actually moving closer, if it's not, I don't know what to tell ya.

Hell, I'm only 20, but I'm afraid 16 y.o. would be more high-maintenence than a mkIII
