You probably already have, but check for loose nut/bolts etc around the engine bay. I had one loose nut on my air filter case, and it rattled like crazy. Took me awhile to find it because other than one loose bolt, nothing shook or rattled when I checked.

Could be something got dropped in a vent, with the right vibration frequency it's amazing how much racket you can make with little things.

A side note, some vendors of imported engines check the engine for you, and offer pretty good warranties. They tend to cost a bit more but they are guaranteed to run for a year.

As far as I know the rad cap is original, so it may be good to replace it regardless ;)

Good thoughts thanks! I will look into it. My only confusion is that it only seems to disappear from the overflow, I ran the overflow dry for awhile (not intentionally) with no drop in the radiator level. I will definitely pressure test when I can, Thanks for the help!

Unless it leaks only while driving, and stops leaking before i get back in my driveway, then I can't see how it's leaking. I check every time I drive for drips and have yet to find any (I don't just check for coolant I want to know if anything leaks ;) ) I will see about the pressure testing...

Hey black, was looking at your picture. Your tire seems to be at a pretty major negative camber. Is that affecting tire wear?

Well only 18 so not far off ;) but I only gutted the cat because it was toast after 165,000mi and Idaho has no emission regulations. It will be remedied when I go 3in exhaust for the turbo kit or 1uz. (Didn't want to do it twice) Though it was bad enough that gutting it really improved the butt...

I certainly is a joy to drive. Even though the na lacks power compared to the turbo, It's fantastic compared to most anything else on the road. I do keep up on my maintenance much as I can, but reminders are always good :P
