seeing as though the supra curse is starting to catch up to me and my wallet, I've got to start shopping for a daily driver and retire the supra to weekend/jackstand duty...i've been meaning to do it but now I might really have to.
I'm looking for something anywhere from $1000 to $6000, has to...
ok i've looked into this a little bit, and not once have I seen another symptom like mine. When I start the car up after it's had a small amount of time to cool down, or from when it's dead cold, my temp gauge will slowly (1min-2min timeframe from normal op. temp.) climb all the way up past...
444km/hr or 275.8mph :icon_razz
I think my AVC-R doesn't like anything over 150mph!
(hope it isn't totally broke...maybe it just reaches a certain number and says "woah wacko that's fast" and starts flipping out)
So today I'm just cruising around town after fixing some idle problems and getting some stuff to fix my dome lights and rewire my fogs and a grey 06 corvette pulls up along side me at a red light and touches the gas a few times...keep in mind this is the base model, not the Z06. I figure what...
I just encountered this problem today after a short period of boosting. It will start, but will not idle...when it initially starts the revs go to 1K, then fall immediately down to zero intstead of 650-750, no studder or nothing it just plummets. Since the motor will run perfectly fine when...
Just throwing this out there real quick to get some more information before I go assuming stuff, but I have a fuel leak somewhere on the rail. There's a tiny puddle of fuel in every dip for the mounting bolts after a short period of idle, not just the one closest to the feed line which throws...
my N/A DD just got rod knock....out of nowhere lol
knocks clearly from 2500-4000RPM, and noise varies with how much throttle I give it. Goes away after 4000 and you can't hear it at idle. Pulled the plugs, noise went away on #6 cylinder. Pulled the codes, knock sensors.
What I can't figure...
specifically referring to these: http://trdparts.jp/english/parts_seat.html
I've talked to a guy who says he can get me them for what he calls a "fair" price, but does anybody know if they use a popular seat bracket style I.E. Recaro or Bride? If not I guess I can ghetto some mounts, but I'd...
I hope it's not a rodknock, I don't think it is because i've heard it on a few other vehicles and it just isn't clunky enough...my stepdad says it sounds like the valve lifters, but I don't know if he fully understands cars, let alone supras and 7m's.
it's a pretty loud tapping...i put a PVC...
what are the symptoms of a faulty window motor? My driver window refuses to go up or down (thank god it's up), and my passenger window will move about 1/4" down and stop before I have to release the button to have it go only another 1/4" down, and will not move up either.
I checked continuity...
Got a new car ('87 Turbo)...and a lot of questions on things that I've never encountered on my old N/A beater. Any help is greatly appreciated
1. what does a valve slap sound like, anybody have a clip? When idling my car I have a really inconsistant, faint, almost like your loosly snapping...
ok, so i bought one of those aftermarket shifter ball seats brought up a while ago. Got the other misc. gasket to install when i do it as well. I've got everything torn apart now, thinking that the installation would be as simple as the website instructed...place the seat on the pins upside...
ok, so since my rear passenger side is toast, i've been looking for repair options...when i stumbled upon this:
http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/library/EPC/MKIII_NATO/291420/6101_1.html
that shows the rear quarter panel, exactly what I need, as a seperate piece. Now last I checked our cars...
hello, i'm new around here...so please bear with me, automotive maintence isn't my hot spot but I'm slowly trying to change that with my supra.
Anyway, i believe my fuel gage to be cursed...or at least a part of the fuel system. The reason being is that the gage likes to wander anywhere...
