I've heard that having a Fidanza (or any lightened flywheel for that matter) Causes severe deceleration when you let off the gas, to the point that it'd only be beneficial on a drag car (where deceleration doesn't happen lol)..
I'd love to hear some comments from people who have them because...
That tool is SUCH a lifesaver for hose clamps that are... let's say buried in the middle of.. other engine compartment clutter... Props for the mention lol :)
Dupli-color's spray nozzles are by far the best i've used from a spray can, also their engine paint seems to hold strong on most anything you put it on.. the 500 degree paint i've used on plenty of places that weren't engine parts.. And it seems to work perfectly..
I'd probably go with the two sided like.. weatherstripping looking tape, seems to work well on anything I've seen the slim visors/rain guards on.. Might be worth a shot.. just tie some fishing line around them in case they fly off :P
So I just came across this project today.. Apparently it's dead? Because I'd be willing to tear my car apart (more so than it already is) just to get this going, Im a mechanic, So I could offer some write-ups as well.. And I haven't read the tasks yet, just wanted to drop my .02 in here first...
It's been about 4 months since I removed the crank from my engine.. I can't for the life of me remember which way the arrows point, I know #1 Cap is closest to the timing, but do the arrows point towards the front? Seems right, just wanna make sure lol.. It's been a long day
Actually bought a felpro gasket for now, until I get into the boost hardcore, had the felpro gasket sitting around, and figured I'd use it until I poof it lol then i'll go mhg..
why do you ask? 400 will probably kill this gasket huh? lol
What's a decent/affordable brand, I was looking at an Innovative LC-1.. which seems requires two parts right? the wideband controller and the wideband guage? price seems around 600 for both parts, sound right? or do I seriously not know what I am looking at lol.. soo tired >.<
Im still pretty new to the supra... I've started collecting my mods and I'd like an opinion on what piggyback system to use to tune the car once everything is together..
I'll be using the following:
550cc Injectors
Lexus AFM
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
AFPR
Stock bottom end (Freshly machined...
Honestly, my power goal is gonna end up in the 1k range lol.. but for now.. at least until this upcoming winter, im just doing a fresh rebuild and trying to hit maybe 350-400 i'd say..
So my parts list started out with:
FPR system
Lexus AFM
550cc Injectors
Boost controller (Manual if I...
Right, I bought an aeromotive fpr kit along with a walbro 255 pump, 550cc injectors and my lexus afm.. I was looking at some relatively inexpensive turbo's on eBay, but I wonder about the quality, even If i have to replace them before winter lol.. just to try it out and see what kinda power I...
Ok, im still relatively new to the supra and boost for the most part.. my question is if I buy a T4 turbo and a T4 turbo manifold, will I still need the turbo elbow or is that mostly for the CT-26 housing? and the CT-26 is considered what kind of turbo? or is the flange the same?
basically...
quite a good point.. someone was talking to me saying they would sell me 550's from a 91 Lexus LS400.. which didn't sound right to me... So i decided to check lol
appreciate the post ;-)
Does anyone know (im sure you do.. lol) what cc the injectors out of the early 90's lexus V8's were? I've heard they were 550 but they seem a lot easier to get and wayyy cheaper than the RC injectors and others that are advertised as 550s..
any help would be appreciated :)
