I was gonna mention that Toyota USA came up with the anniversary thing just as a sales tactic, but I couldn't find the evidence so I refrained from posting; glad that's cleared up.
MK2 owners can kid themselves all day, but it's a Celica. If you really want to stretch it, it's a Celica Supra, but notice how that 'Celica' is ever present.
so much respect for those older fellas too.. I've actually noticed that the majority of nicer imports around the area in which I live are owned by the older generations.
we had a conversation tonight about the younger generations not caring even close to as much about cars, let alone...
Shine uses a type of FRP (fiberglass) that has an awesome flex agent of otherwise that helps them bend and stay more malleable than Bomex and the majority of other out there.
In the end, if it gets tapped hard enough it's still game over.. Urethane is really the only material (stock lip is...
If you want it to turn out properly, you may want to cut slits in the rear fender lip so that it will roll easier and turn out better.. Other than that, just take your time, use heat, and do NOT strong-arm it.
I'll just say this, look where 'refinement' landed the IS-F.. I'm just not very confident Toyota can manage performance and refinement anymore without an insane price tag. Folks can argue it all day, and it was/is a super nice car, but it's not really that special.

Toyota invested way too much time and money and scrapped the development of the LF-A at least once, if not more. It really was an experiment, and I think they only decided to release it to show they had their hand in motorsports for the last decade.
I'm going to buy one of these FT86/FR-S and swap a motor I feel to be worthy into it. Whether that leads me to a JZ or a ZZ remains to be seen, but I won't put much more faith into Toyota beyond that.
Supras were already expensive when they were released (do an inflation calculation sometime to...
BW has 1yr, unlimited mileage warranty.
again, PTs are cheap and rebuildable, but what about if it fails after the 1yr warranty? Just a thought. Can the same happen with BW? Yes. But their reliability provided setup properly has not been called into question lately. In fact, Garrett apparently...
Well, they are rebuildable provided something catastrophic doesn't occur.. So. It's also somewhat hard to argue with their prices provided one has no issues.
