I disagree with no point in buying tools. You can always use tools. Just no point in getting a GM OBDII scanner if you work on Mazda or Toyota all day. general mech stuff is always excellent. Hmm... now I have the urge to price impact sockets... Damn if it's not an hour drive to Harbor...

You should have seen the "yellow dust" in Korea. That crap was so bad that the Army canceled physical training. They didn't even cancel pt for ice there. Mongolian sand and China's refuse in the air suck.
Update. Changed out the alternator ($105) and now I got belt squeal... Nothing major, just gotta mess with the belt tension. Should I loosen or tighten it?
Also, anyone know why the brake and light warning lights came on with a low charge condition?
These just came on with the charge light. I've checked the taillights, and they're fine (operational) and the brakes are fine. These just come on at startup and stay on.
