so my valves are pretty loud, i tried doing all my shims but i wasnt really successful.
this may be a stupid question but i was wondering, if i pull off shims and camshafts off from a motor thats known to be good and quiet,
can i possibly drop that into my motor? putting the shims...
There is side to side play on the carrier bearing. I will try and balance the rears but i highly doubt thats going to solve anything.. I use tape weights on my wheels so i dont think it would come off..
so i took out my car on the freeway couple nights ago and i noticed past 60mph the whole car would vibrate under acceleration, but when my foot was off the pedal it would be fine. the faster i went the more violent the car would shake.
i already changed out the motor mounts and center carrier...
Yea i have replaced the carrier bearing off of an 88 from the junkyard most likely a messed up one as well. Im going to drain my diff, inspect and refill my diff. And possibly inspect and service the tranny as well. What gear oil should i be looking into using? Brand and weight? Thanks for the...
so under acceleration, the drivetrain seems to be quiet, but after letting off the gas i hear this horrible whining noise. (i feel like its coming from the tranny) another problem is around 65+mph i feel all these vibrations coming from the rear part of the drivetrain. i already have re balanced...
The beech has a real nice short throw feeling to it but it is pricey. I dont know if theres anyone else that has this problem but down shifting into second is ridiculous and almost impossible which is why i slapped on my stock shifter for now. Lol
supposedly i have the same tick coming from the egr, but at the same time my valve shims were out of whack so that also causes a tick. is it possible it could be your shims?..
nvm i got it figured out. just need to do some other wiring for the rpm signal.
i got the hks harness but technically it wasn't really plug and play.. i did need to ground it and tap into the parking brake switch.
ive never installed an hks turbo timer before. so yea.. i got the hks type-1 and i also got the hks harness tt-1. since my turbo timer was used, it didnt come with any instructions. can anyone help me out with this install? all input is greatly appreciated. thanks!
